Photos: PSLV C40 Payload Preparations

Three Indian satellites undergo final processing and checkouts for a January 2018 liftoff atop the country’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle alongside 28 international rideshare payloads. CartoSat-2F, a powerful Earth observation satellite operating in a dual civilian and military role, Microsat-TD, setting out to test out Earth Observation from a particularly low orbit, and INS-1C, a small technology demonstration & imaging satellite, represent the Indian members of the PSLV C40 payload. The mission will mark the return to flight for India’s PSLV after encountering a launch failure in 2017.
