A Russian Proton-M rocket with Briz-M upper stage will launch during the 2020 interplanetary launch window to send the Russian-European ExoMars 2020 mission on its way as the second of two planned ExoMars flights, the first having arrived at its destination in 2016 with the successful orbital insertion of the Trace Gas Orbiter and the partially successful landing demonstration by the Schiaparelli lander. The ExoMars 2020 mission aims to send an 828-Kilogram Surface Science Platform and 310kg Rover to the surface of Mars for a year-long exploration mission.
