Photos: Soyuz Rocket Blazes into Clear Skies to Dispatch Progress Cargo Vehicle Toward ISS

A Russian Soyuz 2-1A rocket blasted off from Site 31/6 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 8:46:53 UTC on Saturday, coming back after a last-second launch abort two days earlier. Successfully achieving a 200-Kilometer orbit eight minutes and 48 seconds after launch, Soyuz dispatched the Progress MS-07 cargo spacecraft on a two-day rendezvous with the International Space Station, carrying 2,549 Kilograms of food, fuel and supplies for the six crew members living and working in space.
