Photos: India’s GSLV Mk. III Rumbles Off on First All-Up Test Flight

The Indian Space Organization launched its Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at 11:58 UTC on June 5, 2017 on the rocket’s first orbital demonstration mission. GSLV Mk. III was in action for sixteen minutes and successfully reached the target Geostationary Transfer Orbit with the GSAT-19 high-throughput communications satellite, marking a successful introduction of the country’s most-powerful space launch vehicle to date.
