Events at this location

Site 43/4 at Russia’s Plesetsk Cosmodrome is the prime launch site for military-operated missions of the Soyuz rocket family. Originally built for the R-7A ballistic missile, Site 43/4 entered service in 1967 and has since supported the R-7A, Vostok-2M, Voskhod, Molniya and Soyuz launch vehicles. The site supported nearly 300 launches and is currently in use for the Soyuz-2 fleet.
