Photos: Rollout of the most-powerful Atlas V
A United Launch Alliance – in its most powerful 551 configuration – was rolled to its Cape Canaveral Launch Pad the day before the planned launch of the fifth satellite for the Multi-User Objective System. Doing some heavy lifting, Atlas V will fly with five Solid Rocket Boosters and fire its Centaur Upper Stage three times to drop MUOS 5 off in a Geostationary Transfer Orbit.
