Satellite Description: TJ³Sat, the Thomas Jefferson Cube Sat was built at Thomas Jefferson High School, Alexandria, Virginia. The 1U satellite was built by high school students with help from industry representatives. About 30 students participated in the satellite design and development process.

The spacecraft downlinked music and telemetry data as well as text messages that were played via a voice synthesizer that transmitted the text messages.
