Progress MS-06

Keeping up a steady chain of supplies to the International Space Station, Russia is set to launch its second ISS cargo delivery mission of 2017 on June 14 using a Soyuz 2-1A booster to lift the Progress MS-06 cargo craft into orbit with around 2.5 metric tons of cargo on board. This also marks the first post-Soyuz U era mission of the Progress as all future flights will be handled by the upgraded 2-1A variant of the Soyuz after retirement of the antiquated U version that enjoyed a remarkable, four-decade career.
