Cygnus OA-8 Mission

Orbital ATK's eighth operational Cygnus cargo spacecraft, christened the S.S. Gene Cernan, is set for a critical supplies delivery to the International Space Station under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services Program. Lifting off from Wallops Island on November 12, Cygnus OA-8E is second spacecraft to launch on the upgraded Antares Series 200 rocket.

Cygnus will link-up with ISS over the course of two days for a robotic capture on Tuesday to mark the start of a month-long stay to facilitate the delivery of 3.2 metric tons of pressurized cargo comprised of crew supplies, maintenance gear and science equipment supporting dozens of over 200 experiments active on ISS as part of Expedition 53/54.
