Photos: AngoSat – Pre-Launch Processing

The 1,647-Kilogram AngoSat communications satellite undergoes integration with its Fregat-SB Upper Stage before encapsulation in the protective Zenit payload fairing in the processing hall at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in preparation for a late 207 liftoff atop the venerable  booster – marking the start of a potential resurrection of the Russian-Ukrainian launch vehicle. Angola’s first communications satellite, destined for a slot in Geostationary Orbit, is hoped to operate for up to 18 years to deliver TV broadcasting and telecommunications services.
