Photos: Satellites from Brazil & Indonesia ready for first Ariane 5 launch of 2017

Photos of the final processing campaigns of the SKY Brasil 1 and Telkom 3S communications satellites at the Guiana Space Center, slated for launch on the first Ariane 5 mission of 2017. The 7.5-meter tall SKY Brasil-1, built by Airbus Defence & Space, rides into orbit in the upper payload berth of the heavy-lift launcher while the smaller Telkom 3S is launched underneath the rocket’s Sylda adapter. The two have a cumulative liftoff mass of 9,550 Kilograms, the total GTO performance required by Ariane 5 is 10,482 Kilograms.
