Atlas V Launch with WorldView-4 pushed to NET September 26 due to nearby Wildfire

After encountering a late launch scrub due to technical problems on Friday, the ULA Atlas V rocket will have to remain on the ground until at least Tuesday, September 20 because a wildfire near its California launch pad will require the focused attention of teams at the launch base.

The WorldView-4 commercial Earth Observation Satellite is encapsulated in the four-meter payload fairing and transported to SLC-3E at Vandenberg Air Force Base to be installed atop its Atlas V launch vehicle for liftoff in September 2016 to join DigitalGlobe’s fleet of imaging satellites.
