India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is set for liftoff from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on Wednesday at 4:55 UTC, closing out a busy year of launches by carrying the ResourceSat-2A Earth-Observation Satellite into a Sun Synchronous Orbit to replace the aging ResourceSat-2 satellite that has been in operation since 2011.
