"Flight-Proven" Falcon 9 to Launch SES-10

SpaceX will take a major leap in its reusable rocket development program on Thursday, re-launching a previously flown Falcon 9 booster in an operational mission with the SES-10 communications satellite. The rocket's first stage made its first trip to space and back in April 2016 with the Dragon SpX-8 spacecraft and is set to repeat the feat following liftoff from the Kennedy Space Center Thursday evening, marking a major milestone in SpaceX's re-use ambitions.

SES-10 is set for a 32-minute climb into an elliptical Geostationary Transfer Orbit via two burns of Falcon's upper stage. The 1st stage will only have a very small propellant reserve for its powered return to Earth, facing a challenging re-entry ahead of a landing attempt on the OCISLY Drone Ship
