Europe’s Vega rocket, embarking on its eleventh mission, will lift the MN35-A Earth-Imaging Satellite for the Moroccan government, the first of two EO satellites purchased by Morocco from European satellite manufacturers Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia. Based on the AstroSat-1000 satellite platform, MN35-A hosts a Thales-built instrument to capture high-resolution imagery for environmental monitoring and reconnaissance purposes. VV11 is the third Vega launch of 2017.
