Soyuz MS-06

An experienced Russian Cosmonaut and two NASA Astronauts are set for a nighttime liftoff from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on September 12, 2017 atop a Soyuz FG rocket to begin an express link-up with the International Space Station. Aleksandr Misurkin, Mark Vande Hei and Joe Acaba will ride atop the Soyuz rocket for nine minutes before their Soyuz MS-06 spacecraft is set free to begin a six-hour, four-orbit rendezvous with the orbiting laboratory. The U.S.-Russian crew trio is set for a mission of five and a half months as part of Expedition 53 and 54.
