Video: Inaugural Soyuz Launch from Vostochny Cosmodrome
A Russian Soyuz rocket completed its inaugural launch from the Vostochny Cosmodrome on Thursday, climbing into clear skies over the new launch base located in Russia’s far east. Hidden inside the rocket’s protective payload fairing were three satellites headed for a polar orbit to complete technical demonstration and scientific research missions.
