Photos: India’s PSLV Fires into the Night with Replacement Navigation Satellite

India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at 22:34 UTC on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 with the IRNSS-1I Satellite – the ninth member of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System. Acting as a replacement for the stricken IRNSS-1A, the satellite is expected to restore the original constellation to full capacity to deliver navigation services to the Indian territory via seven satellites placed in Geosynchronous Orbits.
