Photos: Soyuz 2-1A Soars into Overcast Skies with Progress MS-06 Cargo Craft

A Soyuz 2-1A rocket lifted off from Site 31/6 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 9:20:13 UTC on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 with the Progress MS-06 spacecraft loaded with 2.5 metric tons of cargo for the International Space Station. Soyuz was in operation for nearly nine minutes and dispatched the 7,300-Kilogram spacecraft on a near-perfect orbit to set out on a two-day link-up with ISS for a fully automated docking on June 16 for a half-year docked stay on the aft end of the Zvezda Service Module.
