Photos: Falcon 9 blasts off with Satellites for Eutelsat & ABS
A Falcon 9 rocket carrying two stacked satellites lifted off from Florida’s Space Coast on Wednesday, making the sixth SpaceX launch of the year. The primary mission of delivering the Eutelsat 117 West B and ABS 2A satellites to Geostationary Transfer Orbit was a full success, however, the secondary goal of landing the first stage on the Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship ended in a blaze of fire and the loss of the booster.
