Minotaur IV to Launch ORS-5
Orbital ATK's Minotaur IV rocket is targeting liftoff from Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 46 during a four-hour launch window opening at 3:15 UTC on August 26, 2017. Conducting its first launch out of Florida, Minotaur will be headed straight east, firing its lower three stages in close succession followed by firings by a pair of Orion 38 Solid Rocket Motors to inject the ORS-5 payload into a perfectly equatorial orbit from where the satellite can keep watch over activity in Geostationary Orbit for Space Situational Awareness.
