Photos: GSAT-6 Communications Satellite Readies for Launch

India’s GSAT-6A advanced S-Band  communications satellite, undergoes final pre-launch processing before being shipped to the Satish Dhawan Space Center for propellant loading, encapsulation and installation atop its ride to space, the 6th Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk.II. The 2,140-Kilogram satellite carries an S/C-Band payload optimized for mobile communications, delivered via a six-meter unfurlable antenna reflector – the largest of its kind developed in India.
