Videos: SpaceX Launches for Second Time in Two Days, First Stage Lands in Rough Seas

The second SpaceX Falcon 9 to launch in a period of just as many days lifted off on Sunday from SLC-4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, thundering into dense fog at 20:25 UTC. Coming just 49 hours after the successful launch of BulgariaSat-1 from Florida, Sunday’s mission successfully delivered the second batch of ten Iridium-NEXT communications satellites to Low Earth Orbit for Virginia-based operator Iridium. The first stage – sporting new and improved titanium grid fins – was able to land on the ‘Just Read The Instructions’ Drone Ship in challenging weather conditions out in the Pacific.
