Photos: EchoStar-23 readies for Launch

EchoStar-23, one of the last satellites to launch on an expendable SpaceX rocket, is readied for an early 2017 liftoff from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center. The 5.5-metric ton satellite is primed to deliver direct broadcasting and networking services to Brazil, employing a tri-band communications payload, also tasked with flexible response to changing service demands through the use of a multi-mission communications payload capable of operating from eight different orbital locations.
