A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the KoreaSat 5A communications satellite for South Korea operator KT Sat. Built by Thales Alenia Space, KoreaSat 5A hosts an all-Ku-Band broadcasting payload for direct-to-home television and data distribution services over Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Guam, Indonesia and other South Asian countries. Conducting its 16th launch of the year, Falcon 9 will be flying in a Block 4 configuration and attempt a first stage landing on the Drone Ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’.
