Video: ULA Delta IV blazes into the Night Skies over Florida’s Space Coast with WGS-8
A United Launch Alliance Delta IV Rocket blasts off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 23:53 UTC on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 with the eighth satellite joining the Wideband Global Satcom System that forms the backbone for U.S. military communications in support of tactical operations and humanitarian aide. WGS-8 was released into its planned transfer orbit 42 minutes after liftoff, marking ULA’s 114th successful mission over the company’s ten-year history.
