Videos: Ariane 5 VA242 Mission Intro Videos

For its second flight in 2018, Europe’s Ariane 5 rocket will be tasked with lifting Japan’s Superbird-8/DSN-1 satellite and the HYLAS 4 satellite for London-based Avanti Communications. Flying under the designation VA242, Ariane 5 will be tasked with a standard GTO delivery comprising 25 minutes of powered flight and a 9-minute ballistics phase to send its two payloads on their way. The mission marks the return to flight after a January flight anomaly on the VA241 mission.
