Photos: GSAT-17 Prepares for Launch atop Ariane 5
The Indian GSAT-17 telecommunications satellite arrives at the Guiana Space Center for final pre-launch processing consisting of a series of ckeckouts including solar array and antenna deployment tests ahead of propellant loading for flight to be ready for integration atop the European workhorse launcher. GSAT-17 carries a C- and S-Band payload for provision of television, telecommunication and VSAT services across India as well as dedicated transponders for Search and Rescue applications.
